My Battle With Coffee

I’ve struggled with a coffee addiction for years. I have a long history with coffee. My first job in high school was at the Barnes & Noble Starbucks cafe. My next job that I had on and off through high school and college for six years was Peet’s Coffee & Tea. Especially after leaving college and entering the workforce, coffee became a regular morning ritual for me. Over time, however, I found that coffee did a number on my stomach and prevented me from sleeping well at night.

It took awhile to give it up completely, but I have now been coffee-free for months and I couldn’t be happier. Giving up coffee has been one of the best things I’ve done. I sleep better, my digestion is much improved (no more stomachaches!). And I’ve replaced coffee with another, equally as satisfying hot beverage: tea.

There are such a variety of teas to choose from. Lately I’ve been enjoying Vanilla Rooibos from Starbucks. It tastes like a comforting bowl of oatmeal in a cup.

Have you tried Adagio Teas? Adagio.Com – if you follow them on Twitter, you get $5 off if you've never ordered from them before. I am a fan of their ingenuiTEA pot. 🙂
