It is so much easier to focus when there are no other distractions to divert your attention. Therefore, I was thrilled to discover that I could hide my applications dock on my Mac, leaving a clean interface with just the application I’m using at the moment. What a wonderful little trick for all the Mac lovers out there. Just press Command + Alt + D to hide or unhide, and you can also set your dock preferences in System Preferences > Dock > Automatically hide and show the Dock.
Before: a cluttered mess of constantly updating icons pulling my thoughts this way and that.
After: clean, single-minded focus. Ahhh.
